Love Stories

Preserving the essence of your union in words and pictures to pass down to your children – and their children

Susan Bryant is a two-time Pulitzer team finalist who spent two decades in the newspaper industry, the vast majority as an editor and manager at the South Florida Sun Sentinel and The News-Press in Fort Myers, FL. She then broadened her skills as a manager at a Web design/development firm before founding her contract editing/writing business, EditorGuru Inc., in 2010.

Susan is creative, meticulous, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven. She is a perfectionist who doesn’t rest until her clients are happy. Thus, your feedback and input are important.

Susan grew up on a farm in southern Virginia and met a fellow Virginian in the newsroom in Fort Myers. That staff photographer, Benjamin Rusnak, ended up marrying her in a botanical garden back in Virginia on a perfect day in May 1999. A gentle breeze showered them with rose petals as they exchanged vows under a trellis adorned with white satin ribbons. Their foremost interest is exploring the world together, particularly Southeast Asia, when not at home in Boca Raton, FL.

Ben, who has won national and international awards, is a freelance photographer who shoots weddings and engagement portraits. He is available to shoot your portraits in South Florida for your love-story album. (In fact, he is the one who shot Susan’s wedding portrait above and all the other professional photographs on this site.)

Their wedding marked the best day of Susan’s life, and she is passionate about their 20 extremely happy years together. Consequently, she has the personal insight and professional flair to capture and elegantly express your emotions about your journey with your soul mate.
